The dial may be used to both adjust light level and to switch the unit on and off. We recommend setting the light to your preferred level, and using the receiver to turn the light on or off.
The telephone itself is an authentic reissue of the original British Post Office Phone, in use from 1920-1930, with all metal construction. All electronics (wiring, switches, dimmer, hardware) are UL or CCE approved, and it is fully tested for reliability and functionality. It features a single 25w candelabra base Edison bulb. The bulb is adjustable to different angles.
